Synopsis
The concluding volume of the Mage Storms trilogy follows the Karsite Sunpriest Karal, the Adepts Firesong and An'desha, and a band of Shin'a'in plainsmen as they travel into the Dorisha Plains to excavate the ruins of Urtho's Tower, seeking a fabled vault of magical weapons that may hold the key to ending the mage-storms once and for all. Having already triggered one ancient device to buy the alliance a temporary reprieve, the group comes to understand that the storms are echoes, reaching forward through time, of the same cataclysm that destroyed Urtho's Tower more than two thousand years earlier. With Valdemar, Karse, and their allies still exposed to a threat that could repeat that ancient catastrophe, the expedition must uncover Urtho's buried legacy in time to find a lasting solution.
