Synopsis
The Blood of Olympus is the fifth and final book in The Heroes of Olympus series. With the earth goddess Gaea's forces gathering strength and her full awakening drawing near, Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Leo, Piper, Hazel, and Frank continue their voyage toward what they believe may be their final confrontation with her armies. Meanwhile, back at Camp Half-Blood, Nico di Angelo, the Roman demigod Reyna, and the satyr Coach Hedge undertake their own urgent journey, tasked with delivering the recovered Athena Parthenos statue to camp in time to prevent the long-simmering hostility between Greek and Roman demigods from erupting into a war that Gaea is actively trying to provoke. As both groups race against time from opposite directions, tensions and old grudges threaten to unravel their fragile alliance before either mission can be completed.
