Synopsis
Set in a 2059 dystopian version of London where the oppressive Republic of Scion has spent two centuries persecuting people with supernatural clairvoyant abilities. The story follows Paige Mahoney, a rare and powerful dreamwalker working in the criminal underworld, whose very existence is treasonous under Scion law. When she is arrested, she encounters the secretive founders of Scion, who have their own designs on her unusual gifts, and she is taken into a hidden penal colony where clairvoyants are trained and used for purposes the Republic keeps carefully concealed. There she must navigate a strange new hierarchy of captors and fellow prisoners while trying to work out what the founders truly want from her.
