Synopsis
The Bonehunters is the sixth novel in Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen series. Following a devastating and costly battle at the city of Y'Ghatan, the surviving soldiers of the Malazan Fourteenth Army, renamed the Bonehunters in honor of their losses, pursue the last remnants of the Seven Cities rebellion across the desert while contending with dwindling numbers, uncertain leadership, and their own exhaustion after years of near-continuous warfare on the subcontinent, even as Adjunct Tavore quietly weighs a new mission of her own that will, before long, take the reconstituted army far beyond the deserts of Seven Cities entirely.
