Synopsis
In Britain just after the death of King Arthur, a land shrouded by a mist that steals memory, an elderly Briton couple, Axl and Beatrice, set off across a troubled country of mist and rain in the hope of finding a son they have not seen in years. Their journey becomes a story of lost memories, love, revenge and war, sometimes savage and often intensely moving, from the author of Never Let Me Go and the Booker Prize-winning The Remains of the Day.
