Synopsis
The Burning Bridge continues the Ranger's Apprentice series as Will, now further along in his training under Halt, joins a small group sent to investigate suspicious activity near a mountain pass on Araluen's border. There they uncover evidence of a plot by the exiled warlord Morgarath to invade the kingdom by way of the pass, using a bridge under construction to move his forces swiftly into Araluen's heartland. As Will and his companions race to disrupt the bridge's completion, they discover that nearby villages have mysteriously vanished, deepening the sense that Morgarath's plans are further along than anyone realizes. With little time before the invasion can begin, Will relies on his still-developing Ranger skills alongside his companions' courage as the group works to warn Araluen and disrupt Morgarath's advance.
