Synopsis
Soren, a young barn owl who cannot yet fly, falls from his family's nest and is snatched by patrols of St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls, where captive owlets are brainwashed by moon-blinking and set to mysterious labour. With Gylfie, a tiny elf owl, he pretends to be moon-blinked while secretly learning to fly, and the two plot an escape that will set them searching for the legendary Guardians of Ga'Hoole.
