Synopsis

The Cerulean Storm, published by Troy Denning in 1993, concludes the Prism Pentad. Armed with the Obsidian Oracle recovered in the previous book, King Tithian leads Rikus, Neeva, and the sorceress Sadira on a desperate mission meant to determine the fate of all of Athas, a final undertaking that depends on old rivals and uneasy allies finding a way to work together. Their path forces them across the perilous Sea of Silt, a landscape as dangerous as any enemy they have faced, even as lingering conflicts and old resentments among the group threaten to undermine the mission from within before they ever reach their goal. As the closing volume of the Prism Pentad, the novel brings the desert world of Athas and its long-suffering cities to the culmination of the saga begun in The Verdant Passage.

  • From the series record (The Prism Pentad): A five-book tie-in fantasy sequence (1991-1993) set in the desert world of the Dark Sun tabletop setting, by the same author already credited elsewhere in this catalogue for a different tie-in setting.
