Synopsis
During a hot summer, a chimera appears on Dartmoor, and Connie Lionheart and her friends work out what it is. After the creature gravely wounds her, Col and Rat must break her out of hospital, since she needs care that ordinary doctors cannot give. Weakened, she becomes vulnerable to Kullervo, the shapeshifter who wants her Universal power so that he can raise an army of mythical beings and destroy humanity. Connie and her friends have to protect the creatures, and each other, as the summer builds toward a final fight between Connie and Kullervo.
