Synopsis
Connie holds great power but does not know how to control it, and no one in the Society for the Protection of Mythical Creatures can teach her. The only person who understands her situation is Kullervo, the villainous shapeshifter, who is secretly invading her dreams and setting off destructive storms while she sleeps. A new Society trustee, Mr Coddrington, uses the storms to make Connie look dangerous, and she is expelled from the Society. Alone, she finds injured mythical creatures, including a minotaur, hidden in an abandoned mine, while her friends work to clear her name before her trial.
