Synopsis

Now crowned queen, Raisa ana'Marianna struggles to hold her fractious realm together as tension between the wizard clans and the Demonai reaches a breaking point, with rival factions threatening the Fells from both within the court and beyond its borders. Her continuing bond with Han Alister, a former streetlord turned powerful wizard, complicates matters further as political enemies use their closeness against them, even as Han uncovers a long-buried secret with the power to reshape the kingdom's history and legitimacy. With war looming on multiple fronts, Raisa and Han must each decide what they are willing to risk to secure a future for the Fells.
