Synopsis
In the medieval Queendom of the Fells, sixteen-year-old thief-turned-wizard Han Alister confiscates a powerful amulet, once belonging to the legendary Demon King, from a group of young wizards practicing dark magic in the mountains near his clan home. The theft sets off dangerous consequences for Han and everyone close to him, drawing the attention of enemies who will stop at nothing to reclaim the amulet's power. Meanwhile, Princess Raisa ana'Marianna, heir to the Gray Wolf throne, returns to court after years of relative freedom among the clans and must navigate mounting political pressures, including a proposed arranged marriage, as the two very different young people find their fates unexpectedly drawn toward a shared threat facing the realm.
