Synopsis
The Descenders concludes both the Cade saga and the Edge Chronicles as a whole. After years evading Quove Lentis, the ruthless and power-hungry High Professor of Flight, Cade Quarter is finally caught up in his enemy's schemes and forced to flee toward the legendary floating city of New Sanctaphrax. There he reunites with his uncle Nate Quarter, the descender whose earlier return set Cade's flight in motion, and must find the resolve to rally his scattered companions against the mounting dangers closing in around them. As the final book of a series spanning thirteen interconnected novels across five sagas, it brings Cade's long pursuit and the world's deeper mysteries of descending toward a resolution.
