Synopsis
The third Dante Valentine novel finds the necromancer's already complicated life upended further when her demon lover, Japhrimel, mysteriously vanishes without explanation, leaving her to face the fallout largely alone. Summoned directly by Lucifer, the Prince of Darkness himself, Dante is called upon to take on Japhrimel's former role as the Devil's Right Hand, a bargain whose true terms and consequences for her health, her relationship, and her entire life remain deliberately unclear even as she is pressured to accept it. With a running hit-list of demons still only partly resolved and old enemies far from finished with her, Dante must weigh the price of the bargain being offered against the cost of refusing an offer that comes, quite literally, from the Devil.
