Synopsis
The Discord of Gods brings A Chorus of Dragons to its conclusion as the wizard Relos Var moves toward enslaving the universe, convinced that only the demon Xaltorath stands any chance of stopping him. Kihrin, meanwhile, works secretly against both, maintaining a careful performance as the destructive figure the old prophecies described in order to stay useful as a hidden third player in the unfolding conflict. That performance is complicated by the fact that much of it reflects genuine struggles: corrupted magic has twisted both Kihrin and the dragons around him, and his transformation into an unstable stellar avatar grows more dangerous the longer it continues, forcing him to reckon with how much of himself he can still control as the final confrontation between gods, demons and dragons approaches.
