Synopsis
Flick Hudson and Jonathan, the guardian of Strangeworlds, receive a call for help from Nyfe, the Pirate Queen of The Break, a magical world of ships and sea monsters. The Break is a flat world, and its edges are crumbling into nothing. Ships are vanishing faster than the giant squid or the mer-people can explain, and the people who live there are running out of safe places. Flick and Jonathan set out to find the cause and work out how to move the inhabitants, including a mer-queen as large as a whale, to somewhere safe before their home is lost for good. Along the way they have to decide whom to trust on the water.
