Synopsis
Seven years after the doors between the four parallel Londons were sealed, the novel follows several intertwined threads. In Red London, King Rhy Maresh faces a rising rebellion amid rumors that his continued rule is causing magic itself to weaken, while Kell, an Antari prince traveling incognito with the pirate captain Lila Bard, struggles with magical abilities diminished by an earlier battle. In White London, the young Antari queen Kosika leads her people through increasingly dangerous blood rituals in the name of saving her realm. These paths converge with Tes, an unassuming young woman working in a magical repair shop who can literally see and manipulate the threads of magic itself. When Kell and Lila are sent after a stolen and powerful artifact, their mission draws Tes into a conflict that could unite or unravel all four worlds.
