Synopsis
The Golden Enclaves opens immediately after El's escape from the Scholomance and her reunion with her mother, Gwen, only for her to learn that magical enclaves across the world, from London and New York to Wales, Beijing, Dubai, and Mumbai, are coming under sudden, devastating attack by creatures known as maw-mouths. Determined to defend these communities, El travels between continents alongside allies including Liesel, Liu, Aadhya, and Chloe, while grappling with deep uncertainty over the fate of Orion, the fellow wizard whose actions have shaped so much of her recent life, and confronting Ophelia Lake, Orion's mother, a powerful and manipulative maleficer with her own agenda.
