Synopsis

The Last Graduate continues El's story into her senior year at the Scholomance, the isolated school where wizarding teenagers must survive constant attacks from monstrous mals to reach graduation. As the year begins, El is troubled by the sudden, unexplained disappearance of the Bangkok enclave and its people, a loss that unsettles the wider wizard community, even as she is unexpectedly assigned to mentor and protect eight incoming freshmen despite her own demanding coursework and dwindling reserves of mana. Her circle of allies, including Aadhya, Liu, and the enclave-connected Chloe Rasmussen, grows as El navigates shifting alliances across the school's enclave politics, all while her bond with Orion, the school's celebrated mal-hunter, deepens. With graduation approaching and its dangers more uncertain than ever, El must balance her own survival against a mounting sense of responsibility for the younger students now depending on her.
