Synopsis
The Golden Yarn, the third Reckless novel, finds Jacob under new pressure from the Earlking, a powerful figure of the Mirrorworld who demands his participation in a dangerous bargain, while his brother Will finds himself trapped in a predicament of his own. As a mysterious new force begins manipulating events across both the real world and the Mirrorworld, Jacob, Will and the shape-shifter Fox travel eastward through the mirror portal into territory shaped by Russian folklore, entering the domain of the witch Baba Yaga while pursued by an enigmatic enemy who seems to know a great deal about their world. As the boundary between the two worlds grows increasingly unstable, the group must contend with betrayal from an unexpected, once-trusted source even as they try to unravel who is truly orchestrating the danger closing in around them.
