Synopsis
A 2023 collection of interconnected short stories set in Joe Abercrombie's Age of Madness universe, exploring the origins of the revolutionary uprising known as the Great Change. It follows seemingly ordinary people across different social strata, from enslaved cotton pickers to gem miners to government operatives, whose individual stories trace how systemic oppression and ambition gradually converge to spark transformative change.
