Synopsis
The Hero of Ages continues immediately after the events of The Well of Ascension, as the release of power from the Well has inadvertently freed Ruin, an ancient destructive force long imprisoned within it. As ashfall thickens and earthquakes intensify across the world, Vin and her husband Elend work to hold together the last outposts of humanity while searching for caches of supplies hidden long ago by the Lord Ruler. the Terrisman Sazed, mourning a personal loss, wrestles with his own faith and the historical mysteries he has spent years collecting, while the kandra scout TenSoon faces judgment from his own people. With Ruin steadily gaining influence over people and armies alike, the group races against a deteriorating world, seeking answers in the Lord Ruler's hidden legacy before humanity's remaining strongholds are lost.
