Synopsis

The Hounds of God concludes the Hound and the Falcon trilogy, returning to Alf and the elven kingdom of Rhiyana as they face renewed persecution from the Pauline Brothers, a militant religious order determined to wipe out the elvenfolk entirely. The crisis deepens when a renegade monk allied with a deranged sorcerer emerges as a dangerous new threat, while King Gwydion of Rhiyana is struck down by dark sorcery and lies gravely ill, leaving his kingdom exposed at its moment of greatest need. With the elves facing both an immediate campaign of violence and the broader possibility of losing their place in the world altogether, Alf and his companions must find a way to protect Rhiyana and its people against overwhelming religious and political opposition.
