Synopsis
The first book of the Shiva Trilogy opens in the ancient land of Meluha, a once-prosperous empire founded by the legendary Lord Ram but now facing a dual crisis: its vital Saraswati River is slowly drying up, and the kingdom endures repeated attacks from its rivals the Chandravanshis, who have allied themselves with the cursed, mysterious Nagas. Shiva, a Tibetan tribal chief, accepts an invitation to relocate his people to Meluha in search of peace, and upon arrival his throat mysteriously turns blue after he is exposed to a rare potion, leading the Meluhans to recognize him as their long-prophesied savior, the Neelkanth.
