Synopsis
Picking up immediately after the events of the first book, this second installment of the Shiva Trilogy opens with Shiva racing to rescue his wife Sati from an attack by a mysterious Naga assailant. Investigating coins left behind by the attacker, Shiva and his companions trace them to King Chandraketu of Branga, a land to the east, and set out on a journey there to learn more about the enigmatic Naga people. Along the way Shiva must also find a healing herb available only in Panchavati, the hidden Naga capital, to save one of his generals from a mortal wound, even as he continues pursuing the Nagas themselves.
