Synopsis

The Invisible Library, the first novel in Genevieve Cogman's series of the same name, introduces Irene, a Librarian working for a secretive, interdimensional organization that exists outside normal space and time and collects works of fiction from across countless alternate worlds. Irene is posted to an alternate, steampunk-inflected version of London alongside Kai, a new assistant she barely knows, and given an assignment that seems straightforward: retrieve a dangerous, unique edition of Grimms' Fairy Tales from this world before anyone else can claim it, a job complicated by rival factions, chaos-touched dragons, and a detective drawn into the search. First published in 2015, The Invisible Library belongs to the The Invisible Library series.
