Synopsis
The Masked City, the second book in the Invisible Library series, follows Librarian-spy Irene after her assistant Kai, revealed to be a dragon prince, is abducted by agents of the Fae. The kidnapping is no ordinary crime: it threatens to ignite a full interdimensional war between the dragons and the Fae, a conflict that the neutral Library can ill afford to be caught in the middle of. To retrieve Kai before the situation spirals further, Irene must infiltrate a dark, chaos-soaked alternate version of Venice controlled by the Fae, where the normal rules of the Library's world barely apply and the line between story and reality grows dangerously thin.
