Synopsis
Britain now has a Prime Minister, Fabian Everyman, who is an avatar of Nyarlathotep, and Mhari Murphy, a vampire elevated to the House of Lords, serves him. He sends her to the United States to learn why Americans have forgotten that their President exists and who is running the country in his place. Mhari's team finds that the Black Chamber has taken over the government and plans to put Cthulhu at its head. Pursued and losing people along the way, they free the President long enough for him to remind the public he exists, buying Britain time while America is consumed by the struggle.
