Synopsis

The Lady of Han-Gilen continues the Avaryan Rising saga, shifting focus to Elian, princess and heir of the southern realm of Han-Gilen, whose own strong will and resistance to a conventional royal marriage set her apart from her family's expectations. Her path crosses with Mirain, the sun god's descendant introduced in the first novel, whose claim on the Ianon throne and divine heritage draw Elian into the wider political and dynastic struggles of the Avaryan world. As Elian navigates both her own family's expectations and the pull of Mirain's cause, the novel follows the growing bond between the two as Han-Gilen's fortunes become entwined with Ianon's contested succession, extending the saga's exploration of divine bloodlines and dynastic conflict introduced in The Hall of the Mountain King.

Notes

  • From the series record (Avaryan Rising): Six-book epic fantasy sequence set in the sun-god-descended empire of Avaryan, published as two story arcs (later reprinted in the omnibus collections Avaryan Rising, collecting the first three novels, and Avaryan Resplendent, collecting the final three). A separate universe from Tarr's The Hound and the Falcon, already in the canon.
