The Lays of Beleriand, published in 1985, is the third volume of Christopher Tolkien's History of Middle-earth series, collecting his father's long heroic narrative poems from the Middle-earth legendarium. It contains the unfinished Lay of the Children of Hurin, telling the saga of Turin Turambar in alliterative verse, and the Lay of Leithian, recounting the tale of Beren and Luthien in rhyming couplets.
