Synopsis
Mistborn: The Lost Metal is a Brandon Sanderson novel set on Scadrial six years after the events of The Bands of Mourning. Waxillium Ladrian has largely set aside his life as a lawman to serve as a senator for the Roughs, settled into family life with his wife Steris and their two children, while Wayne now serves as a full constable and Marasi has risen to detective. Tensions build between Elendel and its outlying Basin cities, worsened by the discovery of distant lands known as the Southern Scadrials. When evidence surfaces that the extremist Set is kidnapping people with Allomantic bloodlines while pursuing a weapon tied to the hostile cosmic power Autonomy, Waxillium and his allies are drawn back into danger, racing to identify who is behind the plot before it can reach the city and threaten Scadrial's fragile peace.
