Synopsis

Wolter Mountain in the southern Appalachians is a place held sacred by the region's Native peoples and by those who lived there before them. Two Englishmen, Brummitt and Hooper Voth, have taken over the mountaintop, and strange things begin to happen around it: man-like creatures prowl the woods and evil chanting is heard at night. John, a wandering balladeer who carries a guitar strung with silver, comes to the mountain and learns that the Voths are druids from the Old World. They are trying to wake the ancient spirits that sleep at the summit. With the help of local friends and a medicine man, John must face a series of magical dangers to stop them.
