Synopsis
The Rise of the Dragon is an illustrated companion history by George R. R. Martin, Elio M. Garcia Jr., and Linda Antonsson, covering House Targaryen's story from Aegon Targaryen's conquest of Westeros through the Dance of the Dragons civil war. It presents the same period as the first volume of Fire & Blood but in a more encyclopedic, heavily illustrated style similar to The World of Ice & Fire.
