Synopsis
The Ruin of Angels takes place in the rebuilt city of Agdel Lex, where priestess and investment banker Kai Pohala arrives to pursue new business and to reconnect with her estranged sister Ley, continuing the story begun in Full Fathom Five. Kai soon discovers that Ley has become entangled in a perilous scheme and is fleeing as a fugitive, and Kai sets out to find her before the authorities do. Ley, meanwhile, is pursuing her own plan: a daring heist into a god-haunted desert bordering the city, one that may hold the key to liberating Agdel Lex from foreign occupation. As the sisters' paths converge, they must navigate a city where streets shift and reality bends unpredictably, and where other parties are working to finish the destruction of what remains of the old metropolis, forcing Kai to decide how far she will go to protect her sister.
