Synopsis
In 1960s New York, Susanna Owens raises her three gifted children, Franny, Jet and Vincent, under strict rules, the chief one being that they must never fall in love. The family lives under a curse dating to the seventeenth century, and the rules are meant to shield the children from it. Each of them wants a life of their own, and when they are sent to visit their aunt Isabelle in Massachusetts, they uncover family secrets and learn what their inheritance means. As the siblings grow into young adults, their search for independence, love and the truth about the curse takes them from the city streets to the countryside.
