Synopsis
On her twelfth birthday, sixth grader Kiranmala comes home to Parsippany, New Jersey, to find her parents missing and a demon attacking her kitchen. The Indian stories her parents used to tell, about her being a princess from another world, may be true after all. Pulled into a magical dimension called the Kingdom Beyond, Kiranmala must solve riddles, fight demons and stay out of the way of the Serpent King and the Rakkhoshi Queen while she searches for her mother and father. Nothing in this strange realm is quite what it seems, and she has to work out whom she can trust.
