Synopsis
This graphic novel adapts the final book of The Kane Chronicles trilogy, in which siblings Carter and Sadie Kane face their greatest threat yet: the chaos serpent Apophis has broken free and threatens to plunge the world into permanent darkness. The Kanes are tasked with what seems an impossible mission, destroying Apophis for good, at a moment when the House of Life's magicians are fractured and on the brink of infighting, the gods themselves are divided over how to respond, and the young initiates training at Brooklyn House find themselves standing nearly alone against the coming chaos. Their best hope lies in an ancient, long-lost spell rumored to be able to turn the serpent's own shadow into a weapon against it, but finding it means seeking help from the ghost of a powerful and unpredictable magician who could just as easily lead them to their doom as to victory.
