Synopsis
The Shadowglass concludes the trilogy as Tea's present-day narration to the bard draws closer to the moment it began, revealing more of how her path led her into open conflict with the very order of asha who trained her. Having embraced the full extent of her death magic, she pursues the shadowglass, an artifact tied to granting her brother Fox lasting freedom from the fragile bond that keeps him among the living, even as kingdoms and asha houses maneuver around her, uncertain whether to treat her as a savior or a threat. The novel alternates between Tea's increasingly perilous present, where she has gathered daeva and dark power around her, and her account of the choices that brought her there.
