Synopsis
Though robbed by a masked spellcaster and left for dead by a demon, twelve-year-old Maimun refuses to give up the magic that rightfully belongs to him, the luck-bringing Stone of Tymora. After reuniting with the dark elf Drizzt Do'Urden and Captain Deudermont's crew, he sets off on a seafaring chase that will test the strength of his spirit and of his friendships. As perilous storms rock the Sea Sprite and vicious pirates, among them a blue-skinned one, bombard its decks, a mysterious force gathers in the Moonshaes, determined to bring Deudermont's ship and Maimun's quest crashing to an end on its shores. The second book of the Stone of Tymora trilogy for younger readers, by R. A. Salvatore and his son Geno.

Notes
- From the series record (Stone of Tymora): A father-son (R.A. Salvatore & Geno Salvatore) young-readers trilogy following Maimun and Fetchigrol -- distinct protagonists, not part of Drizzt Do'Urden's continuity, so kept separate from the 'Legend of Drizzt' author-line entry.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
- Publication order, within the series Stone of Tymora: position 2 of 3: previous The Stowaway (2009) · next The Sentinels (2011)
- Internal chronology, within Forgotten Realms: position 101 of 215: previous Dealing with Dragons (2025) · next Corsair (2009)
