Synopsis
Merlin, Vivien and Susan Arkshaw are back at work keeping dangerous magic out of ordinary sight. A sorcerous map draws Merlin into danger, and Vivien and Susan have to rescue him. The three are carried to a sealed-off place guarded by deadly magic and living statues. When they escape, they begin to investigate centuries of deaths tied to a murderous Ancient Sovereign, a powerful being of the Old World. The next target is not an ordinary mortal, and the booksellers must find the culprit before more victims die.
