Synopsis
The Skull Throne is the fourth novel in the Demon Cycle. It opens in the immediate aftermath of the previous book, after Arlen Bales, the Warded Man, and his rival claimant to the title of Deliverer, Ahmann Jardir, went over a precipice together rather than settle their duel, leaving both men's fates unknown. With Krasia's Skull Throne now empty, Jardir's first wife Inevera works to keep his sons from tearing the desert nation apart in a struggle over succession, while in the north the healer Leesha Paper and the traveling minstrel Rojer Inn try to forge an alliance between the duchies of Angiers and Miln against the threat of Krasian conquest.
