Synopsis
The Daylight War is the third novel in the Demon Cycle, continuing the story of two men each hailed by his own followers as the Deliverer prophesied to save humanity from the demons that rise every night. Arlen Bales, the tattooed Warded Man, publicly denies the role despite the devotion he inspires, while traveling and fighting alongside Renna Tanner, a woman from his past whose growing use of demon-derived magic threatens to consume her. In the south, Ahmann Jardir has already claimed the title of Deliverer and united the desert tribes of Krasia behind him, his ascent engineered in large part by his First Wife Inevera, a priestess whose demon-bone magic lets her glimpse the future even as her deeper motives stay hidden.
