Synopsis

The Bixie Swordplay Manual, a family heirloom of the Lin family of Fuzhou, is wanted by martial artists across the land. When the Lin family is massacred by people trying to take it, the sole survivor, Lin Pingzhi, is taken in and trained by Yue Buqun, leader of the Mount Hua Sect and a member of the Five Mountains Sword Sects Alliance, which calls itself the orthodox side of the martial world. The story follows Yue Buqun's first apprentice, Linghu Chong, a carefree but honourable swordsman who drinks freely and bends rules. He is pulled into the rivalries between the orthodox sects and the Sun Moon Holy Cult, whose former leader Ren Woxing was ousted by his deputy, Dongfang Bubai.
