Synopsis

The Tower of Nero (2020) is the fifth and final book in The Trials of Apollo series. Still trapped as the mortal teenager Lester Papadopoulos, Apollo and his demigod companion Meg McCaffrey follow a prophecy uncovered by the harpy Ella toward what they believe will be their final confrontation with the malevolent Triumvirate Holdings, whose last surviving emperor waits at his stronghold, the Tower of Nero, in New York City. As Apollo and Meg make their way toward the tower, gathering allies from Camp Half-Blood and beyond, Apollo is forced to reckon with painful history tied to Meg's own past and her connection to the tower's ruler. With the fate of the world's Oracles and Apollo's hope of reclaiming his godhood both hanging in the balance, the pair press onward even as the odds against them continue to mount.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
