Synopsis
The True Queen, published by Zen Cho in 2019, is the second novel of the Sorcerer Royal series. Sisters Muna and Sakti wash ashore on the coast of Janda Baik with no memory of who they are, cursed by an unknown enemy and taken in by a protective local witch who shelters them while they try to piece together the truth. Seeking a cure, the sisters travel toward England, but during the crossing between worlds Sakti is lost within the fairy realm, leaving Muna to arrive in London alone and uncertain how to bring her sister home. There Muna finds refuge with Prunella Wythe, the Sorceress Royal now running an academy for young magiciennes, just as the disappearance of a magical talisman belonging to the Fairy Queen threatens to provoke a deadly confrontation between England's magicians and the fairy court.

Notes

Sorcerer to the Crown won the 2016 British Fantasy Award's Sydney J. Bounds Award for Best Newcomer and was a 2016 Locus Award for Best First Novel finalist; no award record found for The True Queen in the sources checked.
