Synopsis
The Untold Story, the eighth book in the Invisible Library series, finds the time-traveling Librarian-spy Irene turning her attention to long-buried questions about her own past and the true origins of the Library itself. Central to her search is Alberich, a figure who may be her father, and whose history is entangled with secrets the Library has kept even from its own agents. As Irene digs deeper into the Library's founding and Alberich's role in it, her investigation puts pressure on her most important relationships and loyalties, testing bonds built across the previous seven volumes with Kai, Vale and the Library itself. The book brings together threads from throughout the series as Irene works to reconcile what she is learning about the Library's origins with her sense of who she is and where her loyalties ultimately lie.
