Synopsis
The Warrior-Prophet continues the Holy War fought between the Inrithi and Fanim across the Three Seas as it presses on toward the city of Shimeh, its ranks increasingly shaped by the quiet influence of the enigmatic Dûnyain monk Kellhus, whose trained ability to read and direct others lets him steer the war's course from within its own command structure. As Kellhus's reputation grows among the soldiers and leaders around him, the sorcerer Drusas Achamian continues to wrestle with visions tied to the ancient apocalyptic threat known as the Consult, whose true movements remain hidden from the war's participants. The novel follows the mounting toll of the campaign on its many characters even as unseen forces work toward the return of a catastrophic evil from the world's distant past.
