Synopsis
Set in tenth-century Norway, The Weaver and the Witch Queen follows two women bound since childhood by a shared oath and a seeress's prophecy. Oddny hopes for nothing more than an ordinary life on her family's farm, while her blood-sworn sister Gunnhild longs to escape her cruel mother and seeks out power through magic, training among a community of seers in the far north. When a raid tears the two women apart, Oddny is forced from her quiet path and thrust into a world of slavery, survival, and political upheaval, while Gunnhild's pursuit of sorcery draws her toward the kind of influence and danger she has always craved. As years and distance separate them, both women navigate the harsh demands of Viking-era society, and each holds onto the hope of finding the other again, whatever the cost.
