Synopsis
The Witch's Heart reimagines Norse mythology through the perspective of Angrboda, a witch who is punished with fire by the god Odin after refusing to share her prophetic knowledge with him, and who is left for dead before fleeing into a remote forest to rebuild her life alone. There she is found by the trickster god Loki, and the two form a bond that grows into love, eventually leading Angrboda to bear three children whose destinies are already marked by prophecy, whom she raises in hiding to keep them from Odin's notice as old grudges among the gods continue to gather around her family.
