Synopsis
Eight surviving members of the Nine Magicians of Zaar capture Thongor with the help of invisible henchmen and carry him to their city. Thongor is a barbarian warrior who has risen to lead humanity against the reptilian rulers of prehistoric Lemuria. His ally Shangoth, an exiled Rmoahal prince, sets out to free him from the magicians, who have their own reasons for wanting their old enemy in their power. The rescue takes both men through the sorcerers' strongholds and the dangers that guard them.
